[00:00:02] [SPEAKER_01]: There's a scientist named Robert Millican who learned the power of repetition by doing an

[00:00:08] [SPEAKER_01]: extreme example of affirming that I'd like to tell you about.

[00:00:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Cool story.

[00:00:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Millican's father was a traveling minister when he was a boy and there was never enough

[00:00:18] [SPEAKER_01]: money for the family.

[00:00:20] [SPEAKER_01]: He learned by living in poverty that he was tired of being poor and decided to change

[00:00:25] [SPEAKER_01]: that.

[00:00:25] [SPEAKER_01]: So he locked himself in a room for 16 straight hours and he affirmed over and over again,

[00:00:32] [SPEAKER_01]: I have a lavish, steady, dependable income consistent with integrity and mutual benefit.

[00:00:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Dr. Millican wrote his dream of greatness and security in the first person present

[00:00:46] [SPEAKER_01]: tense.

[00:00:46] [SPEAKER_01]: He did not say, I will be great, I will be secure, someday in the future.

[00:00:52] [SPEAKER_01]: For that would have implied that he was not great and secure right now.

[00:00:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Instead, he made his future dream a present fact.

[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_01]: The future dream must become a present fact in the mind of the person who seeks to realize

[00:01:06] [SPEAKER_01]: that dream.

[00:01:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Hi, I'm Kate Wilder and if you're new here, welcome and if you're coming back again,

[00:01:13] [SPEAKER_01]: thank you for being here on another manifestation episode.

[00:01:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Before you think you have to go to this extreme, however, that Robert Millican did,

[00:01:22] [SPEAKER_01]: you don't.

[00:01:23] [SPEAKER_01]: But after Millican did this, he actually became very wealthy and achieved notoriety

[00:01:28] [SPEAKER_01]: as a scientist winning the Nobel Peace Prize for Physics in 1923.

[00:01:33] [SPEAKER_01]: He came from nothing but the differences.

[00:01:36] [SPEAKER_01]: He didn't talk about what he wanted is though it was way out there in the future

[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_01]: somewhere like I'm going to have this or I want to have this or I'm trying

[00:01:44] [SPEAKER_01]: to manifest this.

[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_01]: He said it is if it was so with certainty enough times for his mind to believe

[00:01:51] [SPEAKER_01]: that it was true.

[00:01:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Be what you wish to be right now.

[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Millican gave it enough time for his mind to infiltrate itself with this one

[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_01]: singular thought long enough until it became so it became his new truth.

[00:02:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe you and I don't have 16 hours to lock ourselves away for this long,

[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_01]: most of us don't.

[00:02:12] [SPEAKER_01]: But it does beg this question about affirming a new belief for your life.

[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Does it have to be hard?

[00:02:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Does it have to be conscious?

[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Do I have to think so hard?

[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_01]: No, that doesn't have to be so hard.

[00:02:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Now while it's true that repetition is the way to change how that repetition

[00:02:31] [SPEAKER_01]: happens is entirely up to you.

[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_01]: You need to only impress upon or trick your own subconscious mind into

[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_01]: believing that it is true.

[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Now it's well studied that the subconscious mind believes what you tell

[00:02:47] [SPEAKER_01]: it when it's told enough times over and over again with strong enough

[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_01]: conviction behind it.

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_01]: You just have to persist long enough for that new idea to take hold.

[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_01]: You can change in an instant though when you believe you can or

[00:03:01] [SPEAKER_01]: it can take a long time when you believe that it should.

[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't matter if you get repetition through awake techniques like

[00:03:09] [SPEAKER_01]: writing, scripting, meditation or visualization or if you choose to use

[00:03:15] [SPEAKER_01]: subliminals or hypnosis, sleep meditations or other methods that

[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_01]: don't require conscious awareness during the practice of change.

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_01]: You see, if you feel better speaking your affirmation out loud,

[00:03:28] [SPEAKER_01]: creating a vision board, putting post-it notes on your mirror and

[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_01]: saying it every day, all of these methods make impressions upon

[00:03:35] [SPEAKER_01]: change on your subconscious mind.

[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_01]: What really matters is that you feed your mind with the new character

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_01]: that you'd like to become or the new thing that you'd like to achieve

[00:03:46] [SPEAKER_01]: or things that you'd like to overcome like poverty thinking,

[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_01]: negative thinking, self-limiting or self-sabotaging thoughts

[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_01]: that you've lived with maybe all your life that you're tired of

[00:03:57] [SPEAKER_01]: that you might now want to change.

[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_01]: And it doesn't matter how old you are.

[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_01]: This leads me to a tip that I think will help you actually get into

[00:04:05] [SPEAKER_01]: that feeling state that what you desire is already here now.

[00:04:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Try asking yourself a few questions and then allow yourself

[00:04:13] [SPEAKER_01]: time to answer them thoughtfully and thoroughly like this question.

[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_01]: What would I be like if I had it all?

[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Who would I be now?

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Who would be around me?

[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_01]: What will I be doing?

[00:04:28] [SPEAKER_01]: How would I change my life?

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Who would I have in my life?

[00:04:32] [SPEAKER_01]: And most importantly, how would I feel if I already manifested that which I desire?

[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_01]: So you don't have to do what Milliken did because today we have all sorts

[00:04:45] [SPEAKER_01]: of technology and methods to help us with change that didn't exist in the early 1900s.

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_01]: The idea is that once you've imprinted this thing enough times

[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_01]: that it is a new habit deep inside of your mind, you manifest immediately.

[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_01]: That is the point of manifestation, co-creation, creating your dreams and goals,

[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_01]: or even changing a habit.

[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_01]: After a lifetime of bad choices, everything can be changed with a shift in mindset.

[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_01]: When you do believe that it is so, that it is reality,

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_01]: that every part of you just knows it to be true, that's when it happens.

[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_01]: That thing you've been affirming, it manifests, it's created, it happens,

[00:05:26] [SPEAKER_01]: you claim it.

[00:05:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Almost as though it happened in an instant.

[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Whether you're working on losing weight or improving your health

[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_01]: or your financial situation or relationship, manifesting a new home

[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_01]: or seeking your life purpose after the age of 50 or 60 or 70,

[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_01]: you can have all of this and more with the power of your mind.

[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_01]: It's really about what you're willing to do or not willing to do.

[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_01]: When you just stick with it long enough, affirming over and over

[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_01]: until you no longer have to try to convince yourself, you will achieve it.

[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Almost like magic.

[00:06:01] [SPEAKER_01]: And it is true that most people don't want to work hard on improving themselves,

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_01]: especially after the age of 50.

[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_01]: But that's not how I want to live because I'm never satisfied

[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_01]: just accepting that I'm already all that I can be right now.

[00:06:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Learning is a never-ending process and growing is a lifetime affair

[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_01]: for those who view it that way.

[00:06:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Stagnation is what makes people unhappy in my opinion.

[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Maslow's hierarchy.

[00:06:25] [SPEAKER_01]: We're born here to try to self-actualize.

[00:06:28] [SPEAKER_01]: It's the human mind that ultimately determines how willing you are to change

[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_01]: or how stuck you're going to stay into old thinking

[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_01]: that might no longer serve your life.

[00:06:40] [SPEAKER_01]: It's never too late.

[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_01]: I hope this helps you a little bit today
