[00:00:00] [SPEAKER_00]: When you reach a milestone like 50 or 60, these are pivotal moments to reflect on a journey
[00:00:06] [SPEAKER_00]: and even to reframe how we see the years ahead.
[00:00:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Imagining this new chapter of our lives is an opportunity to reignite our passion for
[00:00:15] [SPEAKER_00]: life and see the world with fresh eyes and maybe discover that there's still so much
[00:00:20] [SPEAKER_00]: more to explore.
[00:00:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Gratitude is contagious.
[00:00:24] [SPEAKER_00]: When you start living with a grateful heart on a daily basis, others will notice a change
[00:00:29] [SPEAKER_00]: in you too.
[00:00:30] [SPEAKER_00]: They'll be drawn to your energy inspired by your outlook and maybe even want to know
[00:00:35] [SPEAKER_00]: your secret.
[00:00:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Imagine the ripple effect that you could create simply by choosing to live with daily gratitude.
[00:00:42] [SPEAKER_00]: This isn't just a buzzword, it's a transformative practice that can revolutionize your life,
[00:00:48] [SPEAKER_00]: especially after 50.
[00:00:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Tony Robbins said, When you're grateful, fear disappears and abundance appears.
[00:00:55] [SPEAKER_00]: You've accumulated wisdom, you've faced challenges and now you've got the power to
[00:01:00] [SPEAKER_00]: shift your perspective to one of appreciation and abundance.
[00:01:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Hi, I'm Kate Wilder and if you're new here, welcome!
[00:01:08] [SPEAKER_00]: And if you're returning, thank you for being part of my channel.
[00:01:10] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm a manifesting and reinvention mindset coach helping people of all ages but especially
[00:01:16] [SPEAKER_00]: over 50 to find courage to embark on a fresh path in life with a fresh perspective
[00:01:22] [SPEAKER_00]: that's sustainable for the rest of our lives.
[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_00]: I've been reinventing myself and manifesting my goals and dreams and I do love teaching
[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_00]: and helping others find happiness through challenging themselves to become better,
[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_00]: to become a better person, to become more of what they want to become
[00:01:38] [SPEAKER_00]: with this last chapter of life, let's say.
[00:01:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Gratitude is just one of these things that's a powerful practice that's proven itself to be
[00:01:47] [SPEAKER_00]: a frequency that the universe seems to reward with great things.
[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_00]: This practice isn't just about feeling good in the moment,
[00:01:55] [SPEAKER_00]: it's about creating lasting change and how you feel the world.
[00:02:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Gratitude can also be a key that helps to unlock a new mindset.
[00:02:05] [SPEAKER_00]: It's not about overlooking the hardships or pretending everything is perfect because it never
[00:02:10] [SPEAKER_00]: is but rather it's about choosing to focus on the good for growth
[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_00]: and the gifts that each day does bring.
[00:02:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Oprah Winfrey said,
[00:02:19] [SPEAKER_00]: be thankful for what you have, you'll end up having more.
[00:02:22] [SPEAKER_00]: If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never ever have enough.
[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_00]: And I feel like this is a true fact about manifesting goals and dreams as well
[00:02:31] [SPEAKER_00]: because gratitude has a higher frequency of energy
[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_00]: and the more you focus on it, the more you will bring into your life.
[00:02:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Another great author and wisdom advisor, Eckhart Tolle,
[00:02:43] [SPEAKER_00]: said, acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.
[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Tolle, the author of The Power of Now, has often spoken about the importance and presence
[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_00]: of gratitude as well in achieving inner peace and fulfillment.
[00:02:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Gratitude isn't just about grand gestures or monumental moments,
[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_00]: it's found in the simplicity of daily life.
[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_00]: It's your first sip of coffee in the morning or the busyness of your day
[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_00]: when you start noticing small joys and allow yourself to really appreciate them,
[00:03:17] [SPEAKER_00]: you're not just living life, you're living it fully.
[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_00]: This shift in focus can change everything.
[00:03:22] [SPEAKER_00]: If you're actually retraining your brain to see the positive in every situation,
[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_00]: it doesn't mean ignoring the negative,
[00:03:28] [SPEAKER_00]: but rather recognizing that even the toughest times there's something to be grateful for.
[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Whether it's a lesson learned, a strength gained or support received,
[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_00]: there's always a silver lining even in loss.
[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_00]: So it's often about shifting from negative to positive, sometimes in an instant during
[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_00]: a bad situation when something has happened in your life.
[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_00]: So it's more about how you frame what happens afterwards that creates the lasting effect.
[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_00]: So let's talk about the power of starting your day with gratitude.
[00:04:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Before you even get out of bed or grab your first coffee,
[00:04:03] [SPEAKER_00]: take that moment to think of one thing you're grateful for
[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_00]: or jot down a few of them and they don't have to be big.
[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_00]: From the comfort of your bed to the promise of a new day or people in your life,
[00:04:13] [SPEAKER_00]: this simple act sets the tone for your day, guiding you to see
[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_00]: more positive in things that you will come to encounter that day.
[00:04:21] [SPEAKER_00]: It sets the tone in other words and it does work.
[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Now here how I use gratitude each day is in my morning affirmation practice,
[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_00]: I also take a moment to just jot down things that I am feeling grateful about
[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_00]: right then for that day.
[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes it can be as philosophical as I'm grateful to have my health this morning
[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_00]: or I'm grateful for another day of living.
[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_00]: And other times I just feel grateful to have the right tools for the job at home
[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_00]: or the right people to help.
[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_00]: So as you go about your day, notice these small things that often go unnoticed
[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_00]: and the beauty of nature, the taste of your favorite food,
[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_00]: the kindness of a stranger, these moments might be fleeting
[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_00]: but when you take the time to appreciate them,
[00:05:03] [SPEAKER_00]: they enrich your life in ways you might not imagine.
[00:05:06] [SPEAKER_00]: When you do commit to a practice of gratitude, it's not just a little exercise,
[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_00]: it can be a lifestyle change.
[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_00]: It's really about waking up each day and choosing and making that choice
[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_00]: to see the possibility for this day ahead.
[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_00]: And it's about ending each night with appreciation for experiences
[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_00]: that you had that day no matter how small or seeming the insignificant,
[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_00]: even mistakes you might have made that day.
[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_00]: You can have gratitude for the lesson learned as well.
[00:05:35] [SPEAKER_00]: And over time, this daily commitment builds a foundation of positivity
[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_00]: and resilience that you can carry through the ups and downs of life
[00:05:44] [SPEAKER_00]: and even into older ages.
[00:05:46] [SPEAKER_00]: So just start each day with a moment of gratitude.
[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_00]: You'll feel better before you get out of bed.
[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Take that moment and be grateful for at least one thing.
[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_00]: The other thing that I like about gratitude is it also encourages
[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_00]: you to look at the bigger picture.
[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_00]: It does help you see your life as a whole rather than getting stuck
[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_00]: on individual moments and challenges.
[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_00]: When you kind of zoom out and consider everything that you've accomplished,
[00:06:13] [SPEAKER_00]: everything you've experienced, and everything you still have to look forward to,
[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_00]: it's hard not to feel a deep sense of gratitude.
[00:06:20] [SPEAKER_00]: This perspective I feel is and have found to be incredibly empowering
[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_00]: and especially navigating changes that come with getting a little older in life.
[00:06:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for tuning in to this podcast episode.
